Toyota Tacoma Vs. The Suzuki Equator
When purchasing a Used Toyota Tacoma, lets keep in mind the quality of a Toyota and the resale value for all Used Toyota Sequoia, it’s not lets say, as good as purchasing a Used Dodge but it does have an advantage over the opposition.
The New Suzuki Equator four cylinder series makes for a good pick as a great buy, light-duty work vehicle, not as good as the Toyota Tacoma, particularly considering the higher fuel efficiency. On the other hand, for buyers who are tring to use this light duty truck for more than just getting around, the V6 is the perfect one.
Creating an pile of horsepower, 6 cylinder models are up to almost any task, the 2009 Suzuki is equipped with the best suspension and steering ability for every task along with a very soft shifting automatic transmission.
The RMZ-4’s off-road suspension package makes that model’s ride feel a bit more like a truck. The four wheel drive series are capable of off roading, this truck has a remarkable amount of compression all through the suspension, along with 10” of road space.
The cheaper base Equator is bare and fitted with 15” steel rims and bucket seats with a center console but little else, air-conditioning or a music system is standard. The upgraded model adds 16” aluminum rims, a rear slide glass, a tilt steering wheel, keyless entry, full power accessories and upgraded cloth interior. Picking the Sport gets you seventeen inch aluminum rims, a sprayed-in bed liner and movable tie-down hooks in the bed.
The RMZ-4 looks great with chrome exterior trim, much stronger axles, an electrical locking rearend, Bilstein shocks, brush plates, 16” alloy wheels with off road tires, fog lights, height and lumbar control for the driver seat and metallic cabin accents. The RMZ-4 Sport adds an upgraded stereo system with a CD player, an auxiliary audio jack, satellite radio prep, and Bluetooth compatibility. It’s a mystery that an aftermarket fashion navigation system is optional on all crew cabs but not available on the extended-cab Equators. Bluetooth is optional only on the RMZ-4 crew cab.
